A Brief History
Chesapeake Tower Systems, Inc. incorporated in 1992 as a commercial HVAC manufacturer’s representative in the Maryland/DC and Northern
As Chesapeake Tower Systems, Inc. diversified its product lines, it began to trade as Chesapeake Systems. Since its inception, Chesapeake Systems has focused primarily on two markets: plan and spec, and aftermarket sales.
In April 2000, Robert L. Gladden, Jr. joined Chesapeake Systems. In 2001, he became President, a shareholder, and also assumed operating control of the business.
In 2007, Mr. Gladden purchased all the assets of Chesapeake Tower Systems, Inc. and formed Chesapeake Systems, LLC. He serves as President and CEO.
In 2012, Chesapeake Systems purchased the assets of Blankin Equipment Corp. (Philadelphia, PA) and founded Blankin Equipment – A Division of Chesapeake Systems.
Today, Chesapeake Systems, LLC is comprised of seven divisions, each focusing on specific market segments:
Engineered Products Group (new construction)
Aftermarket Sales Group (building owners)
Blankin Equipment (PA/NJ/DE Territory)
Distributor Products Group (wholesale distribution)
GoodTower Services (cooling tower and heat exchanger service)
Field Product Support (equipment startup and warranty repairs for all divisions)
